Takes a while to assemble and as with most things of this type the instructions are not clear. However, once assembled it is a sturdy toy that I am sure will last for many years. My grandson who is a little over 18 months loves it and now that he has his own "car" it saves spending hours sitting with him in mine pretending to drive! At the moment he does not quite have the technique or strength to move the car forward, so he is constantly going backwards and bumping into things. I am sure it will be a long time before he gets bored of this toy and will outgrow it physically before that happens.
